Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Infrastructure Administrator with extensive experience in Linux system administration and cloud-based environments to join a dynamic team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Informatica products and Big Data technologies, with a strong background in managing enterprise-grade IT infrastructure and data engineering platforms.

Key Responsibilities

The Infrastructure Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of critical IT systems within a multiuser cloud environment. Key duties include:

• Administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems with a focus on security and performance.
• Supporting Informatica Data Engineering products including Integration, Quality, Streaming, Enterprise Data Catalog, and Axon.
• Planning, designing, and implementing IT infrastructure solutions to support data engineering workflows.
• Integrating Informatica components with Hadoop ecosystems and platforms.
• Applying patches and hotfixes to ensure system stability and compliance.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting Informatica jobs and developing automation scripts for platform oversight.
• Managing authentication and access controls, including LDAP and Kerberos configurations.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize data processes using Big Data tools such as Hive, Spark, MapReduce, Sqoop, and Pig.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 8 years in system administration within a RHEL Linux environment.
• At least 6 years managing cloud-based multiuser infrastructures.
• Proficiency in supporting a range of Informatica Data Engineering applications.
• Hands-on knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem integration with Informatica products.
• Strong command over user authentication systems including LDAP and Kerberos.
• Familiarity with Big Data platforms including Hive, Spark, MapReduce, Sqoop, and Pig.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with enterprise-scale data integration and catalog solutions is highly valued. Candidates with additional certifications in Linux system administration, cloud services, or Informatica technologies will have an advantage.

Work Environment

This role is based in Dubai and is ideal for professionals already located in the UAE or those eligible to work in this region. The position requires collaboration across IT and data teams in a fast-paced, evolving data infrastructure environment.
