Job Overview

Join the Power Grids division based in Dubai as a Data Analyst, playing an essential role in launching and managing the Middle East Collaborative Operations Center (COC). This center delivers expert technical support to regional clients within the power generation, transmission, substations, and distribution network sectors. As part of Hitachi ABB Power Grids, you will contribute to maintaining reliable and accurate data crucial for grid automation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the precision and integrity of Grid Automation asset data. You will develop and maintain robust data processes and databases to keep customer asset information current. Your analyses will support customers in monitoring asset conditions and identifying cybersecurity vulnerabilities through risk-based assessments. Additionally, you will aid sales efforts by promoting Hitachi ABB Power Grids’ Grid Automation services and oversee the smooth handover of asset data to the Service Organization post-project energization. Managing and triaging technical support cases, ensuring timely resolution aligned with service agreements and KPIs also forms a significant part of your duties. Upholding Hitachi ABB’s core values of safety and integrity is fundamental throughout all tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of advanced data analytics techniques and machine learning applications.
• Experience with Salesforce, asset management systems, and PowerBI is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Grid Automation systems is a plus.
• Exceptional analytical and technical problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to owning complex challenges.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Fluent proficiency in both spoken and written English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic is beneficial.
