Job Overview

We are urgently seeking an experienced Project Engineer with expertise as a Field Service Engineer and Maintenance Specialist to support commercial kitchen projects in Bahrain. This role focuses on managing the complete lifecycle of food service equipment installations, from design through to commissioning and handover. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, project management experience, and a proven track record within the GCC region.

Key Responsibilities

The Project Engineer will be responsible for leading the execution of commercial kitchen projects including:

• Overseeing end-to-end project activities related to food service equipment installations.
• Preparing technical drawings, layouts, and precise Bill of Quantities (BOQs) for equipment.
• Coordinating closely with consultants, architects, and clients to finalize design and technical specifications.
• Managing suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery and smooth installation processes.
• Monitoring project budgets, schedules, and allocation of resources to meet deadlines.
• Ensuring all work complies with local health, fire safety, and building regulations.
• Conducting thorough site inspections, resolving snag lists, and managing documentation for handovers.
• Providing technical expertise during tendering and procurement phases.
• Mentoring junior engineers and supporting team members to achieve high-quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of solid experience in commercial kitchen equipment project execution.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing technical drawings and layouts.
• Strong expertise in managing all phases of project execution, including design, BOQ preparation, installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Excellent project management capabilities paired with hands-on site supervision experience.
• Effective communication skills, adept at coordinating with various project stakeholders.
• Experience working within the GCC region is mandatory.
• Familiarity with international kitchen equipment brands such as Hobart, Rational, and Electrolux.
• PMP certification or an equivalent project management qualification is a plus.
• Background in hospitality sectors, food and beverage chains, hospitals, or central kitchen projects is highly valued.
