Job Overview

VR Techno Construction LLC, based in Dubai, UAE, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their Facilities Management and MEP Fit-Out team. This role focuses on supporting daily operations involving maintenance and retrofit projects across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and basic civil works. The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from 5,000 to 8,000 AED.

Key Responsibilities

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for planning and managing day-to-day operations related to maintenance, upgrades, retrofit, and modifications of MEP systems within various buildings. The role requires coordination to ensure asset reliability and efficient system management. Daily site inspections will be conducted to monitor progress and ensure work complies with approved standards, including shop drawings and method statements.

• Plan, schedule, and oversee maintenance activities for MEP systems, assuring quality and adherence to specifications.
• Develop strategies for asset management to maintain system reliability and facility integrity.
• Conduct routine site inspections to supervise retrofit works, especially in sensitive or restricted environments.
• Ensure proper installation and protection of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and drainage systems in live operational facilities.
• Coordinate safety measures such as temporary supports, barricading, and protection of existing services before work commences.
• Prepare AMC proposals, contracts, and cost estimations for new and ongoing projects.
• Negotiate and manage subcontractors to maintain service quality within budget and contractual KPIs.
• Monitor project progress to ensure timelines are met and deliverables align with the project schedule.
• Generate detailed reports, quotations, and presentations as required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field with at least three years of experience in facilities management or MEP retrofit projects, preferably within the UAE. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential while familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous. Strong organizational skills, effective multitasking, and excellent communication abilities are necessary to support various teams and work independently.
