Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a qualified Site Manager Engineer specializing in Civil and Infrastructure projects to join a prominent construction team in Dubai, UAE. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in managing underground construction activities, ensuring projects meet quality, safety, and deadline requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of underground construction on site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and approved plans. Responsibilities include:

• Leading and supervising the execution of excavation, shoring, dewatering, utilities installation, and other infrastructure-related works.
• Managing the workforce, including engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and laborers to maintain smooth operations.
• Enforcing strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinating effectively with clients, consultants, and internal project teams to align on progress and requirements.
• Monitoring project timelines, quality control, manpower allocation, and site safety standards.
• Proactively resolving on-site challenges to minimize disruptions and ensure project completion within set deadlines.
• Preparing and submitting detailed progress reports to senior management regularly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is mandatory.
• 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in construction, with a focus on underground works and infrastructure development.
• Expertise in excavation techniques, shoring systems, dewatering processes, and utility installation.
• Strong knowledge of project management practices, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), and HSE standards.
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors effectively.
• Prior experience working in the UAE construction sector is highly preferred.
• Possession of a valid UAE Driving License is advantageous but not required.
