Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the finance team at a leading sports facility in Dubai Sports City. This role involves overseeing comprehensive accounting functions and ensuring compliance with local financial regulations while supporting the management with accurate financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will handle end-to-end accounting activities including managing general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close processes. You will monitor cash flows, expenses, revenues, and budgets to maintain financial accuracy and support operational efficiency.

This position also requires managing VAT compliance, preparing VAT returns, and assisting with corporate tax documentation. Coordination with external auditors and consultants to facilitate smooth audits and financial reviews is a critical part of the role. Additionally, you will manage payroll accounting entries and maintain up-to-date records within accounting software to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 to 6 years’ experience in accounting, preferably within a sports facility or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting regulations and financial compliance.
• Experience with VAT, corporate tax, and audit coordination.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is a valuable advantage.
• Professional accounting certification such as ACCA or CA is preferred.
• Experience with Big 4 accounting firms will be an added advantage.
