Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to become a key member of our Finance team based in Dubai. This role involves managing core accounting activities across multiple entities, including month-end close processes, reconciliations, financial reporting, and budgeting. The position also requires hands-on work in the Odoo ERP system and contributing to group consolidation activities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant, your main duties will include:

• Leading month-end closing tasks such as accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and bank and intercompany reconciliations.
• Reviewing the general ledger and performing reconciliations for sub-ledgers including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and fixed assets.
• Ensuring accurate VAT calculations and supporting tax compliance across all assigned entities.
• Preparing monthly financial statements along with variance analysis and coordinating the annual budgeting process.
• Developing comprehensive management reporting packages for senior leadership review.
• Driving improvements in accounting processes within our Odoo ERP environment to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should bring the following:

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional certification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA.
• Between 5 to 7 years of relevant accounting experience, with 3 to 5 years in a senior or general ledger accounting role.
• Strong familiarity with IFS and practical experience with UAE VAT regulations.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems, with specific experience in Odoo considered a significant advantage.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis capabilities.
• Experience working within a multi-entity or group accounting framework.
