Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with strong expertise in general ledger management and financial reporting. This role is specifically open to candidates with prior experience in the UAE Government sector, reflecting the unique financial and regulatory requirements of that environment. The position is based in Dubai and requires availability for an immediate start or within a 30-day notice period.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the general ledger activities and preparing accurate financial reports in compliance with IPSAS standards. This includes managing month-end and year-end closing processes, performing account reconciliations, and handling VAT reporting duties. Attention to detail and adherence to government accounting guidelines are critical for this position.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience working within the UAE Government accounting sector is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and controls.
• Expertise in financial reporting aligned with IPSAS standards.
• Hands-on experience with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Familiarity with account reconciliations and preparing VAT reports.
