Job Overview

Abdulwahed Bin Shabib Group is seeking a dedicated Accounts Manager to join their finance team in Dubai, UAE. This full-time position involves overseeing the company’s financial and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and leading a team of finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will manage the entire accounting cycle, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. Responsibilities include supervising monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, and preparing critical financial statements such as Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and management reports. The role also requires handling VAT and Corporate Tax compliance, managing customer reconciliations, monitoring aging reports, and ensuring timely collections. Regular bank reconciliations and discrepancy resolution form part of the day-to-day duties.

Additionally, the Accounts Manager will lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning exercises, analyze financial performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and coordinate internal and external audits. Maintaining robust internal controls and ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations and IFRS standards are vital aspects of the role. The position also includes liaising with auditors, banks, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities, while providing leadership, supervision, and mentorship to the finance/accounts team. Ad hoc financial reporting as requested by management is expected along with any other tasks assigned by company leadership.

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with preference given to candidates with experience in the UAE market. A strong understanding of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax laws, IFRS, and financial reporting standards is essential. The candidate should demonstrate expertise in bank and customer reconciliations, financial analysis, and reporting. Proven leadership abilities and team management skills are also critical for success in this position.
