Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Accountant to join a dynamic company based in Dubai, UAE. This full-time position reports directly to the Head of Finance and is ideal for a detail-focused professional ready to contribute immediately. The role covers daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, VAT support, and month-end closing assistance.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will manage various critical financial tasks to ensure smooth accounting processes, including:

• Recording daily accounting entries such as sales, expenses, receipts, supplier invoices, journals, and petty cash transactions
• Handling accounts receivable and payable activities, along with managing ageing reports, collections, and payment processing
• Performing reconciliations for bank accounts, cash, and point-of-sale systems
• Maintaining documentation control while ensuring adherence to internal compliance standards
• Supporting intercompany reconciliations and assisting with accurate month-end closing activities
• Providing VAT documentation and reconciliation support in compliance with UAE regulations
• Assisting with audit preparations and maintaining working files for audit purposes

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Between 3 to 6 years of accounting experience, preferably within the UAE market
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP software systems
• Solid understanding of UAE VAT compliance and documentation practices
• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or CMA, whether completed or currently pursuing
