Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Accountant with experience in shipping, trading, export, or logistics to join a dynamic and expanding company based in Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT), Dubai. This role offers a full-time position working 5.5 days a week from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will manage comprehensive accounting functions tailored to the shipping and trading industry. Key duties include:
- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping and financial records
- Performing bank reconciliations and coordinating closely with banks
- Handling shipping and trade documentation efficiently
- Coordinating with shipping companies
- Ensuring compliance with VAT regulations and preparing VAT returns
Required Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 4 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the UAE market
- Proven background in shipping, commodity trading, export, or related trading sectors
- Strong understanding of shipping and trade documentation processes
- Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations and bookkeeping
- Familiarity with VAT laws and filing VAT returns
- Proficient in using Tally accounting software
- Experience working with free-zone or business portals is a plus
Qualifications
Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) or CA Intermediate certification is preferred, reflecting a solid foundation in accounting principles relevant to this sector.

This position is based in a professional office environment at JLT, Dubai, providing a stable schedule conducive to work-life balance with a 5.5 day workweek.
