Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Junior Purchase Officer with robust experience in procurement, specifically within the Food & Beverage (F&B) and Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sectors. The role involves managing the sourcing of food ingredients, packaging materials, kitchen equipment, and other operational products while prioritizing cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the procurement of food items, packaging supplies, and restaurant equipment.
• Identify and establish partnerships with dependable suppliers and vendors catering to F&B needs.
• Request, analyze, and negotiate quotations to secure competitive pricing.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in an accurate and timely manner.
• Coordinate with warehouses and outlets to ensure products are delivered on schedule.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate closely with operations to prevent stock shortages.
• Maintain supplier relationships and track vendor performance consistently.
• Ensure all procured products comply with established quality and food safety standards.
• Keep abreast of market price trends for food commodities and packaging items.
• Document procurement activities and prepare detailed reports for management review.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Five to six years of proven experience in purchasing within the F&B or QSR industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of food supply chains and restaurant operational requirements.
• Experience collaborating with food suppliers, packaging vendors, and kitchen equipment providers.
• Strong negotiation abilities and expertise in managing supplier relationships.
• Proficient in controlling costs and managing procurement budgets effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across various teams.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Experience

• Previous involvement with restaurant chains or QSR brands.
• Knowledge of local suppliers and distributors in the Saudi Arabian F&B market.
