Job Overview
We are urgently seeking two ARAMCO approved Coating QC Inspectors to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidates will have direct experience working on ARAMCO onshore and offshore projects, with a solid background in industrial coating inspections and relevant certifications. This role demands meticulous attention to detail and a thorough understanding of ARAMCO standards to ensure the highest quality in coating and painting work.
Key Responsibilities
Coating QC Inspectors will be responsible for monitoring and verifying coating applications in compliance with ARAMCO specifications. Tasks include conducting surface preparation inspections, measuring dry film thickness (DFT) and wet film thickness (WFT), holiday testing, and profile measurements. Inspectors must identify coating defects, ensure contractor adherence to quality standards, and prepare detailed daily inspection reports and QC documentation. Effective communication with client representatives is also essential for seamless project coordination.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years experience in industrial coating inspection
- Proven knowledge of ARAMCO standards including SAES, SAMSS, SATIP, and SAIC
- Strong technical skills related to surface preparation, blasting, painting, and coating application processes
- Capability to detect coating defects and validate contractor compliance
- Competence in testing methods such as DFT/WFT measurement, holiday testing, and profile measurement
- Good communication skills for interaction with clients and team members
Certifications and Approvals
Candidates must have valid ARAMCO approval and a current ARAMCO SAP number. Passing the Coating/Painting Inspection CBT is mandatory. Certifications that meet the requirements include NACE Coating Inspector Level 2 (minimum), SSPC PCI Level 2 or 3, or BGAS Grade 1 or 2. Prior ARAMCO approval as a QC Coating Inspector is required.
