Job Overview
We are urgently seeking two experienced Coating Quality Control (QC) Inspectors who are Aramco approved to join projects based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidates will have a solid background in industrial coating inspections, including compliance with Aramco standards on both onshore and offshore projects.
Key Responsibilities
The Coating QC Inspectors will be responsible for monitoring and verifying all coating activities to ensure they meet the required quality standards. This includes conducting surface preparation inspections, performing blasting and coating application checks, and identifying any coating defects. Inspectors will also review contractor compliance and prepare comprehensive daily inspection reports and QC documentation. Effective communication with client representatives is essential to ensure smooth project execution.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years experience in industrial coating inspection roles.
- Familiarity with Aramco standards such as SAES, SAMSS, SATIP, and SAIC.
- Proficient in technical skills including Dry Film Thickness (DFT) and Wet Film Thickness (WFT) readings, holiday testing, surface profile measurements, and coating mixing and application inspections.
- Strong ability to detect coating defects and ensure contractor compliance with specifications.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with client and project teams.
Mandatory Certifications and Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Aramco SAP number and pass the CBT for Coating/Painting Inspection.
- Previous Aramco approval as a QC Coating Inspector is required.
- Certification of NACE Coating Inspector Level 2 (minimum) or SSPC PCI Level 2/3 or BGAS Grade 1/2.
