Job Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Mechanical QC Inspector / Engineer for a long-term opportunity based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This position requires immediate mobilization and focuses on ensuring the highest standards of quality in repair and manufacturing processes. The role is non-Aramco and ideal for professionals with experience in mechanical quality control within industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a zero-defect quality culture while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and non-regulatory standards. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives and strengthen repair processes to enhance detection and prevention methods. Daily collaboration with operations teams will be essential to maintain adherence to quality management procedures.

Core duties include:

• Leading problem-solving activities with corrective and preventive actions to minimize defects and prevent recurrence.
• Managing and resolving issues related to non-conformance reports, stop work events, and quality concerns.
• Overseeing the implementation of best-in-quality (BiQ) practices.
• Driving defect reduction projects in cooperation with operations and engineering departments to address shop floor quality challenges efficiently.
• Championing quality improvement initiatives and cost of poor quality (CoPQ) reduction efforts within the team.
• Conducting internal audits to verify adherence to company procedures.
• Supporting employee training programs focused on enhancing quality awareness and practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. A minimum of four years of quality experience in manufacturing or similar industrial sectors is required.

Ideal candidates will possess:

• A solid understanding of Quality Management Systems, particularly ISO 9001 standards.
• Experience within manufacturing environments, especially related to power generation repair operations.
• Strong knowledge of workshop processes and practices.
• Excellent communication and organizational capabilities.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Office.
