Job Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable Project Engineer specializing in Physical Security Systems to join our team in Dammam. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of advanced security solutions tailored to industrial projects. This role demands a practical approach backed by strong technical expertise and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

The Project Engineer will be tasked with implementing physical security systems according to project specifications. Duties include overseeing system installation, conducting thorough testing and commissioning, and coordinating closely with clients, consultants, and cross-functional teams to guarantee smooth project execution. Additionally, preparation and review of shop drawings, method statements, and technical submittals are integral parts of the role, along with ensuring all activities comply with relevant standards and safety protocols.

Required Skills and Experience

A minimum of five years’ experience in physical security system engineering is essential. Candidates should possess hands-on familiarity with various security components such as road blockers, arm barriers and gate barriers, static bollards, turnstiles, motorized sliding and swing gates, and weld mesh fencing ranging from Class 1 to 5. Expertise in CCTV and Access Control Systems (ACS) is also required. Proven ability to manage commissioning of leading brands and to integrate these systems effectively into physical security solutions is highly valued.

Qualifications and Additional Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Telecommunications Engineering. Experience working in Saudi Arabia and knowledge of HCIS Directives are preferred. The role requires flexibility to work in remote locations and occasionally outside standard office hours. Strong communication, documentation skills, and an ability to work well independently and within teams are crucial. Candidates should demonstrate sound decision-making skills and the ability to perform under pressure in critical project environments. Familiarity with HSE regulations and competence in using project management tools for planning and reporting adds significant value.
