Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Planning Engineer to join a dynamic team in Dammam. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for EPC projects, ensuring timely execution and strict adherence to approved baselines.

Key Responsibilities

The Planning Engineer will take the lead in preparing detailed project baseline schedules using Primavera P6, covering all phases from design and mobilization to execution and handover. This includes creating manpower and equipment histograms to optimize resource allocation.

Monitoring progress through daily, weekly, and monthly reports with clear dashboards will be essential, alongside identifying any project deviations and proposing corrective actions. The engineer will also develop recovery schedules as necessary to keep projects on track.

In addition, the role involves managing project budgets, optimizing cost control, and minimizing financial losses by monitoring manpower and equipment efficiency. Handling billing processes, including interim and final invoices, will also be part of the responsibilities.

The candidate will be tasked with preparing and submitting Extension of Time (EOT) claims supported by detailed delay analysis, as well as managing change and variation orders resulting from scope changes.

Effective coordination with multidisciplinary teams such as Project Management, Construction, Procurement, and Quality Control will be crucial to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with schedules.

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in residential projects, pipeline construction, infrastructure, civil works, earthworks, site preparation, road construction, and EPC building projects within industrial and commercial sectors.

Proficiency in Primavera P6 and strong analytical skills for schedule analysis and reporting are essential. The ability to manage project financials and contractual documentation, including EOT claims and variation orders, is also required.
