Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Network Support Engineer (Level 1) to provide first-line monitoring and technical support for enterprise network infrastructure. This role focuses on maintaining stable and reliable connectivity across LAN and WAN environments, ensuring smooth network operations within a fast-paced multinational setting based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

As an L1 Network Support Engineer, you will handle:

• Initial troubleshooting and support for LAN/WAN network systems
• Monitoring network performance and ensuring link availability
• Providing basic configuration assistance for routers, switches, and access points
• Managing VLAN setups and IP addressing tasks
• Resolving common network problems such as connectivity interruptions, packet loss, DHCP, DNS, and gateway errors
• Addressing user issues related to wired and wireless network access
• Logging support tickets, tracking issues, and escalating complex problems to Level 2 or Level 3 teams when needed
• Coordinating with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to resolve link-related concerns
• Maintaining network documentation including port mapping
• Conducting routine network health checks and preventive maintenance activities

Required Skills and Knowledge

Ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of:

• TCP/IP protocols and fundamentals
• Basic LAN and WAN networking concepts
• Switching and routing principles
• Core DHCP and DNS operations
• Wi-Fi troubleshooting techniques
• Basics of fiber optic and copper cabling
• Use of network monitoring tools to track and analyze performance
