Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join our team for an on-site project in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Reporting directly to the Project Manager and MEP Lead, this role involves overseeing the installation and execution of electrical and mechanical systems at the project site. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience, strong coordination abilities, and a solid technical background to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

The Electro-Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and quantity take-offs for both electrical and mechanical works. You will review, interpret, and work from various technical drawings including layouts, single line diagrams, P&IDs, schematics, and specifications. Leading installation efforts is essential, covering power systems, lighting, HVAC, piping, plumbing, firefighting systems, and equipment setup.

Additional duties include managing site preparations such as material planning and manpower allocation, coordinating electro-mechanical activities to prevent workflow clashes, and supervising onsite execution to guarantee adherence to approved designs and quality standards. The role also requires preparing material requisitions, supporting procurement planning, monitoring site progress, and ensuring workmanship meets project requirements.

Supporting testing, commissioning, and final system handover is a key activity, along with strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental protocols. You will also be tasked with preparing detailed site reports, progress updates, and contributing to the creation of as-built documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electro-Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. A minimum of three to six years of experience in electro-mechanical site execution, preferably within EPC or construction projects, is necessary. Proven ability in BOQ preparation and quantity take-offs is essential.

A sound understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, relevant codes, standards, and technical drawings is required. The candidate must have practical experience in site supervision, with strong coordination and communication skills to effectively manage multi-disciplinary activities. Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred to support interpretation and planning efforts on site.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working on MEP, industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects will be an advantage. Familiarity with testing and commissioning activities and the capability to independently manage complex site operations will set candidates apart.
