Job Overview

ASR AL AMDAD COMPANY LIMITED, a well-established firm based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, is currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer. The company, founded in 2021, specializes in chemical supply, distribution, plant optimization, and maintenance services across multiple industries. Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and analyzing pressure vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, and other fabricated mechanical equipment. You will prepare detailed engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with ASME, API, and other industry standards.

Additional duties include conducting mechanical calculations such as thickness, nozzle loads, and stress analysis, as well as supporting fabrication teams to optimize cost efficiency and manufacturability. You will oversee material selection, evaluate welding procedures, and coordinate inspection planning.

Your role will also involve providing support during QA/QC processes including fabrication inspection, hydrotesting, and non-destructive testing. Collaboration with clients through meetings and project reviews to deliver projects that meet safety and quality requirements is essential.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of practical experience focusing on pressure vessel design and manufacturing.
• Strong command of ASME Section VIII Division 1 & 2, API 650, API 620 codes and standards.
• Familiarity with various welding techniques such as SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and SAW.
• Thorough understanding of material standards including ASTM and ASME.
• Proficiency in engineering design software like PV Elite, Compress, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or ANSYS.
• Hands-on experience working within fabrication or manufacturing settings.
• Preference will be given to candidates currently residing in Saudi Arabia.

Work Location and Conditions

The initial position location will be Jeddah but may vary according to project requirements across different sites. The role demands cooperation with multidisciplinary teams and adherence to strict safety and quality regulations.
