Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Specialist to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role requires hands-on experience in electrical systems within industrial settings, preferably with knowledge of NOV Hydra Rig and Elmar products. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining project schedules while ensuring adherence to safety standards and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Specialist will be responsible for working according to project and production timelines, closely coordinating with engineering teams, shop supervisors, and production and service managers. A critical aspect of the role includes strict compliance with ATEX and Zone II safety standards.

• Manage CTES data acquisition hardware and software, including installation, maintenance, start-up, and troubleshooting.
• Provide field services such as troubleshooting, servicing, and commissioning units or systems at customer locations when required.
• Train and guide electrical personnel on servicing mobile offshore units, focusing on the correct installation of Exed enclosures, glands, and instrumentation.
• Handle wiring of units to ATEX specifications along with cabling, lighting, switchgear, and control panel installations.
• Adhere to safe work practices continually and contribute to improving operational methods within the department.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of three years’ experience working in a similar industry, coupled with either a degree in Electrical or Electronics or substantial relevant on-the-job experience. Familiarity with NOV Hydra Rig and Elmar products will be considered an advantage. A thorough understanding of ATEX standards and hands-on skills in electrical troubleshooting and commissioning are essential.
