Job Overview

We are inviting applications for a Design Engineer to join our valve manufacturing team based in the 2nd Industrial City, Dammam. This role is ideal for Saudi residents holding transferable Iqama, looking to apply their expertise in the design and development of industrial water valves and ductile iron pipe fittings.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead the design documentation process for projects, conduct research, and employ mathematical modeling to assess new design concepts and their cost efficiency. Utilizing CAD and CAE software, the engineer will develop detailed technical designs, perform critical calculations for various valve types including Gate and Butterfly valves, and oversee prototype testing phases ensuring product readiness for manufacturing.

Other duties include ensuring compliance with key international standards such as ASME, API, ISO, AWWA, BS, EN, and ASTM, preparing comprehensive design layouts and tender documents, maintaining design verification records, and participating in design review meetings. Coordination with production teams and management to uphold engineering best practices and regulatory standards is also a crucial part of the role.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering along with at least eight years of experience in industrial valve design and manufacturing. In-depth knowledge of valve types including Check and Air Release valves, along with ductile iron pipe fittings, is essential.

Strong technical and analytical skills, proficiency with CAD/CAE tools, familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality standards, and an ability to communicate effectively across teams are important for success in this position. The role demands multitasking capabilities and the ability to work independently while handling multiple responsibilities.
