Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to lead and execute testing and commissioning activities for the Gas Network Project at Jubail 2, Stage-4 Phase-1. This role involves overseeing mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, SCADA, and firewater systems to ensure compliance with Royal Commission standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all testing and commissioning processes for various systems including:

• 24” Fuel Gas (Methane) and 16” Feedstock (Ethane) pipelines
• 10” FRP firewater network, inclusive of hydrants
• Scraper launcher systems, drain tanks, and expansion loops
• Electrical installations such as LV power, UPS, Motor Operated Valves (MOVs), lighting, and grounding systems
• Instrumentation, Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Fire and Gas (F&G), leak detection, Remote Terminal Units (RTU), and SCADA systems

Additional duties include preparing and implementing detailed commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists, coordinating system integration and functional testing, and ensuring safe gas-in operations. The role also requires collaboration with the Royal Commission, Operations, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) teams. Managing punch list clearance, system handover, and thorough documentation of commissioning activities is essential.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering is preferred
• A minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience specifically in testing and commissioning of gas pipeline and utility projects
• Strong understanding of international codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Previous work on Royal Commission, ARAMCO, or similar large-scale industrial projects is highly advantageous
