Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Operations Manager to support the Operations Manager in overseeing civil, mechanical, and electrical construction projects in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This role involves coordinating operational activities to ensure projects are completed safely, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Assistant Operations Manager will collaborate closely with site managers, foremen, and various department teams to monitor progress, manage resources, and assist with reporting and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Operations Manager will play a vital role in facilitating smooth project execution by:

• Supporting the planning, coordination, and supervision of construction operations across multiple disciplines.
• Assisting in optimizing manpower, materials, and equipment allocation to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Providing supervision assistance to site managers and foremen through guidance, feedback, and technical support.
• Participating in site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Coordinating procurement schedules and ensuring timely availability of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Assisting in budget monitoring and cost control initiatives under the Operations Manager’s direction.
• Preparing draft operational reports, progress summaries, and performance analyses for senior management review.
• Supporting risk identification, issue escalation, and facilitating resolution efforts.
• Encouraging teamwork and clear communication between site teams, departments, and clients.
• Contributing to process improvements, on-the-job training, and workforce development programs.

Requirements and Qualifications

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A minimum of 5 to 8 years of progressively responsible experience in construction operations or project coordination is essential. Experience working on multi-disciplinary construction projects within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is highly preferred.

Key Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and coordination skills, along with a solid understanding of construction operations and project planning. Financial acumen with experience in budget oversight and cost management is important. Effective problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and escalating issues are required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for working collaboratively with site teams and clients. A basic understanding of safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance in the KSA is necessary. Familiarity with project management software and reporting tools, as well as attention to detail and commitment to quality, are critical for success in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range of SAR 6,000 to SAR 7,000 along with accommodation, transportation, and benefits in accordance with Saudi Arabian labor laws.
