Key Responsibilities
The Purchasing Manager will oversee all aspects of procurement activities to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services aligned with company objectives. Responsibilities include developing and executing procurement strategies, managing supplier negotiations, and maintaining robust vendor relationships. The role also prioritizes evaluating supplier performance, optimizing procurement costs, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field.
- At least 10 years of proven experience in procurement, with significant time spent in managerial roles.
- Well-versed in both local and international purchasing processes and regulations.
- Skilled in conducting supplier negotiations and managing contracts effectively.
- Competent in designing and implementing procurement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Experience in supplier evaluation, vendor relationship management, and cost optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in ERP software systems alongside Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong analytical and negotiation abilities coupled with comprehensive supply chain management expertise.
- Background in the industrial or construction sectors is an added advantage.
