Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Procurement and Product Development Specialist with a solid background in sourcing and purchasing for supermarkets or mini markets. The role focuses primarily on organic and natural brands across food, makeup, cosmetics, and personal care categories. This position requires a proactive individual who can establish strong supplier relationships locally and internationally while driving product innovation through private label development.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and introduce new organic and natural brands in food, makeup, cosmetics, and personal care products.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and manufacturers worldwide.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to optimize value and reduce procurement costs.
• Manage ongoing supplier communication and diligently follow up on orders.
• Plan purchasing schedules to ensure consistent stock availability and avoid shortages.
• Coordinate import procedures, ensuring compliance with licenses, approvals, and product certifications.
• Ensure all imported goods meet local regulations and industry standards.
• Lead the development and launch of private label products under the company brand across multiple categories.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and high-demand products for retail success.
• Collaborate with management on product selection, pricing strategies, and inventory planning.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within supermarkets, mini markets, or retail chains.
• In-depth knowledge of the organic and natural product markets.
• Experience working with international suppliers and managing import documentation and processes.
• Familiarity with product certifications and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to analyze costs and implement purchasing efficiencies.
• Experience in private label product development is highly advantageous.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple suppliers and product categories effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in food, beauty, or personal care industries.
• Existing network of suppliers and manufacturers is a plus.
• Keen ability to spot trending products and new market opportunities.
