Job Overview

Koshary Factory, a rapidly expanding food and beverage brand based in Bahrain, is seeking a skilled Purchasing Manager to join their team. This full-time position plays a key role in managing procurement operations and ensuring the consistent supply of high-quality ingredients, packaging, kitchen equipment, and other essential materials that support daily operations across multiple branches and the production facility.

Key Responsibilities

The Purchasing Manager will lead strategic sourcing and procurement efforts, focusing on:

  • Identifying and securing raw materials and equipment from both local and international suppliers to meet quality standards.
  • Negotiating favorable terms on price, payments, and delivery schedules to optimize cost efficiency without compromising product quality.
  • Building and maintaining strong vendor relationships, regularly assessing supplier performance to ensure reliability and compliance.
  • Collaborating closely with store managers and chefs to accurately forecast inventory needs, minimize stock shortages, and reduce food waste.
  • Ensuring all procured items adhere to Bahrain’s health, safety, and food regulatory standards.
  • Keeping thorough purchasing records, monitoring market trends, and preparing monthly cost analysis reports for management review.

Required Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a solid background in procurement strictly within the food and beverage industry. Key qualifications include:

  • Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager, Procurement Officer, or a similar role within the F&B sector—candidates lacking relevant industry experience will not be considered.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local and international food and beverage supply chains, vendor networks, and logistics specific to Bahrain.
  • Strong negotiation abilities, analytical thinking, and budget management expertise.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software to enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
