Victron Contracting, a prominent firm specializing in the design, fabrication, and construction of steel and shade structures across Bahrain, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor. Established in 2018, Victron Contracting prides itself on delivering quality projects from initial concept through to final installation using advanced technology and expert engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

The Quantity Surveyor will play a crucial role in accurately preparing detailed quantity take-offs related to steel structures, tensile shade systems, foundations, fabric materials, and associated components. Responsibilities include reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities (BOQs) to ensure completeness and accuracy. The role also encompasses cost estimating and assisting in tender preparations, including clarifications and submission of commercial proposals.

Coordination with engineering, fabrication, and site teams is essential to verify quantities and construction methodologies. The candidate will also liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to gather competitive quotes for materials such as steel, fabric, and coatings. Proper documentation and filing of all cost-related records will be a key part of the role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in quantity surveying, preferably with steel structures.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, carry out measurements, and understand BOQs.
• Proficiency in Excel and AutoCAD for preparing and checking quantity data.
• Effective communication and coordination skills to collaborate with multiple teams and vendors.
• Familiarity with tensile structures, car park shades, steel canopies, or similar construction works is highly advantageous.
• Availability to work in Bahrain is mandatory.
