Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Help Desk Technician based in Bahrain who can join immediately. This position plays a crucial role in delivering first-level IT support to end users, addressing technical challenges, and ensuring consistent IT service operations.
Key Responsibilities
The Help Desk Technician will be responsible for providing prompt technical assistance related to hardware, software, and network issues. Duties include responding quickly to helpdesk tickets, emails, and phone inquiries, troubleshooting common issues involving Windows OS, Microsoft Office, printers, and basic network connectivity. The role also involves assisting users with login problems, password resets, and account access challenges.
Additional responsibilities include installing, configuring, and supporting desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices. When problems cannot be resolved at the first level, the technician will escalate them to Level 2 or Level 3 support teams. Maintaining detailed and accurate records of incidents and solutions within the IT ticketing system is essential. Supporting user onboarding and offboarding processes, such as setting up accounts and configuring devices, is also part of the role. Adherence to company IT policies, procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs) is expected.
Required Skills and Experience
Applicants should have 1 to 2 years of experience working in a Help Desk or IT Support role. A solid understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite is crucial. Familiarity with fundamental networking concepts, including LAN and Wi-Fi connectivity as well as IP addressing, is required. Experience using IT ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow or Zendesk is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills and a strong problem-solving mindset are necessary, alongside a customer-focused approach to work. Candidates must be currently residing in Bahrain and ideally available to start immediately.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications like CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft qualifications will be considered a plus. Previous experience within a corporate IT setting is desirable, as is the ability to manage multiple requests efficiently under pressure. Knowledge of Active Directory and Office 365 support also strengthens your candidacy.
