Job Overview

A well-established electrical contracting company in Bahrain is urgently seeking a skilled Fiber Optic Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in fiber optic splicing, termination, testing, and installation, with a strong background in FTTH and FTTR projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform splicing and installation of fiber optic joint closures ranging from 8F to 144F.
• Handle termination tasks with patch panels and termination boxes for fibers between 8F and 144F.
• Conduct OTDR testing and prepare detailed reports to ensure network integrity.
• Push fiber cables from joint to joint, ensuring proper connectivity and alignment.
• Install and secure trunking and conduits effectively.
• Manage FTTR (Fiber To The Router) related works.
• Carry out outage and migration activities, including changeovers for 144F joint closures.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience with FTTH (Fiber To The Home) installations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing.
• Familiarity with OTDR testing and analyzing test results.
• Knowledge of fiber optic network installation standards and best practices.
• Ability to work on trunking and conduit installation.
• Experience with FTTH and FTTR technology implementations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
