Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled TIG/GTAW Welder with extensive experience in aluminium welding. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques and the ability to work independently to deliver high-quality welds for aluminium and other metals. Candidates who are ready to join immediately will be highly considered.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Applying expert TIG welding techniques primarily on aluminium materials.
• Working with various metals including stainless steel, carbon steel, and titanium.
• Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings, welding procedure specifications, and work instructions accurately.
• Performing weld repairs on rejected joints to meet quality standards.
• Operating both power and hand tools effectively for tasks such as sanding, grinding, and filing related to fabrication.
• Managing welding operations independently with minimal supervision.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven expertise in TIG/GTAW welding, especially on aluminium materials.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the characteristics and welding approaches for a range of metals including aluminium, stainless steel, carbon steel, and titanium.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and welding procedures for precise execution.
• Skilled in using fabrication hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills to carry out weld repairs and maintain quality standards.
