Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced South Indian Light Vehicle Driver for a local hire opportunity in Bahrain. This role involves safely operating passenger and light-duty commercial vehicles within the construction industry to transport workers, equipment, and materials efficiently across various job sites. The position also includes performing routine vehicle maintenance and assisting with site logistics to support daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

The Light Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth transportation and site support by:

• Safely driving company vehicles to ferry staff, crew members, and lightweight construction materials between offices, warehouses, and multiple work locations.
• Helping with loading and unloading cargo, handling minor site setup tasks, and organizing tools as needed.
• Conducting regular pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections including checking oil levels, tire condition, and lights, while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and ensuring mechanical reliability.
• Adhering strictly to local traffic laws, securing all required permits and work passes, and following construction site safety protocols at all times.
• Coordinating with site supervisors and utilizing GPS or navigation tools to plan the most efficient routes and meet scheduled timelines.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid and clean Bahrain driver’s license that permits the operation of light vehicles.
• Demonstrated experience driving in construction, contracting, or logistics environments preferred.
• Physically fit to remain seated for extended periods and capable of safely lifting light to moderate loads.
• Strong familiarity with local roads, proficient use of GPS navigation, and basic communication skills in the local language.

Work Conditions and Benefits

• Work schedule includes 10 hours duty per day, with opportunities for overtime.
