This role focuses on improving supply chain efficiency and minimizing losses due to shrinkage or damage.
Key Responsibilities
The Inventory Control Specialist will be in charge of carefully monitoring stock levels on a daily basis, processing transaction histories, and placing timely reorders to sustain optimal inventory. Conducting routine physical inventory counts and reconciling them with digital records is essential to identify and resolve discrepancies.
The role also involves investigating causes of inventory losses, damage, and shrinkage, and implementing preventive measures to reduce theft and breakage. Managing the intake of new stock by inspecting quantities and quality, as well as ensuring appropriate storage conditions, are vital tasks. Additionally, maintaining and updating Inventory Management Software and Warehouse Management Systems will support accurate tracking and reporting.
Coordination with vendors to audit invoices, track purchase orders, and facilitate timely deliveries is necessary to maintain the flow of goods.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate strong computer proficiency, particularly with inventory software such as NetSuite or SAP, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Meticulous attention to detail is required to ensure accuracy in data entry and inventory reconciliation.
Analytical abilities are important for interpreting inventory data, forecasting demand, and advising management on improvements. The role requires physical stamina to handle lifting objects weighing between 35 to 50 pounds and the ability to move around warehouse facilities for extended periods.
Educational qualifications typically include a diploma or GED, though candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business will be preferred. Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of experience in inventory control, warehousing, or related supply chain operations.
Working Conditions and Compensation
The position requires a 10-hour work shift with one day off each week. Salary ranges from BHD 200 to 250, depending on experience. The company offers visa sponsorship, accommodation, and transportation to support the successful candidate during their employment.
