Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Lab Technologist to join our dynamic team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine and advanced laboratory testing in Biochemistry, Hematology, and Clinical Pathology. This role requires adherence to high standards of quality and safety, supporting physicians and clients by delivering accurate and timely test results.

Key Responsibilities

The Medical Lab Technologist will be involved in a variety of essential tasks, including:

• Conducting routine and specialized tests following CAP accreditation standards.
• Ensuring compliance with quality control and quality assurance protocols.
• Participating in CAP audits, documentation, and corrective actions to enhance laboratory performance.
• Collecting blood samples during home visits, maintaining proper specimen handling and transport procedures.
• Performing specimen processing, centrifugation, aliquoting, and coordinating sample dispatch.
• Operating, calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining laboratory analyzers and equipment.
• Reviewing and validating laboratory test results according to established SOPs and policies.
• Monitoring reagent inventories and consumables to support uninterrupted lab operations.
• Following strict laboratory biosafety, infection control, and waste management guidelines.
• Engaging in internal and external quality assurance programs and instrument maintenance.
• Keeping detailed and accurate laboratory records and managing LIS entries.
• Collaborating closely with healthcare professionals to ensure precision and promptness of laboratory reports.
• Performing additional laboratory duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a closely related discipline.
• Possession of a valid NHRA license is mandatory.
• Previous experience working in CAP-accredited laboratories is highly preferred.
• Proven hands-on expertise in Biochemistry, Hematology, and Clinical Pathology techniques.
• Competence in phlebotomy and experience with home sample collection services.
• Valid Bahrain driving license and ownership of a personal vehicle are preferred.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays as needed.
• Strong communication skills in English, Malayalam, and Hindi; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of laboratory quality management systems, SOPs, and patient safety protocols.
