Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Web Designer to craft visually engaging and user-friendly websites and web applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, developers, and content creators to transform business needs and user insights into compelling digital experiences that are both accessible and optimized for performance.

Key Responsibilities

The Web Designer will be responsible for designing responsive web pages, landing pages, and UI elements that provide seamless experiences across various devices and browsers. You will translate business requirements and user research into wireframes, detailed mockups, and interactive prototypes. Maintaining and enhancing visual design systems, style guides, and component libraries will be essential. You will also work with UX researchers and product teams to refine designs based on feedback and analytics. Collaboration with front-end developers is vital to ensure designs are accurately implemented, including providing necessary assets and specifications. Ensuring accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA or higher) and optimizing designs for SEO and performance are key parts of the role. Additionally, you will create and optimize graphics, icons, and illustrations for the web. Staying current with design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices is expected, alongside supporting A/B testing and conversion optimization efforts. Senior candidates may lead projects, mentor junior designers, and contribute to overall product strategy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Visual Communication, HCI, or equivalent professional experience supported by a strong portfolio.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing responsive websites and web applications with a solid portfolio.
• Excellent visual design abilities including mastery of typography, color theory, layout, and spacing.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or Adobe Creative Cloud tools like Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Good understanding of , CSS, and responsive design principles; familiarity with basic JavaScript is advantageous.
• Experience in developing design systems, reusable UI components, and thorough documentation.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and web best practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
