Job Overview

We are looking for a talented .NET Developer to join our team on a part-time, project-based contract. This role involves designing, developing, and delivering robust features for a dynamic web application. The ideal applicant will be a proactive self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to write clean, maintainable code to meet project deadlines. The position reports directly to the Project Manager and Product Owner.

Key Responsibilities

The .NET Developer will work closely with product owners, designers, and fellow developers to clearly define specifications and deliverables. Responsibilities include creating backend services, APIs, and business logic utilizing .NET frameworks. On occasion, the role may require developing frontend components using technologies such as Blazor, Razor Pages, or integrating with single-page applications (SPA).

Additional duties involve writing well-documented and easily testable code, creating and executing unit and integration tests, and integrating with databases and external services like SQL Server and REST APIs. The developer will also troubleshoot, debug, and optimize the application to enhance performance and scalability. Participation in code reviews and adherence to CI/CD workflows is essential, along with delivering work incrementally and providing consistent progress updates.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience working with Microsoft .NET technologies, ideally .NET Core or .NET 6+
• Proficient in C# with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core or Web API
• Strong background in working with relational databases like SQL Server and ORM tools such as Entity Framework Core
• Knowledge of source control systems, especially Git, including branching and merging workflows
• Experience with automated testing including unit and integration tests
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins
• Ability to work independently, estimate workload accurately, and manage time effectively
• Clear and effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
