Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a highly experienced General Manager to lead our Landscape and Water Features division in Bahrain. This strategic leadership role requires a dynamic professional with extensive expertise in large-scale landscaping and swimming pool projects within the GCC region. The successful candidate will drive business growth, oversee project execution, and manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure the company’s objectives are met with efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities

The General Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing business strategies aligned with company goals. This includes formulating the annual business plan and budget for the Landscape and Swimming Pool division, while identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities across the GCC.

Operationally, the role demands close supervision of project management activities to guarantee timely, budget-compliant, and quality delivery of projects. You will collaborate with project managers and site teams to monitor post-contract performance, review technical documents such as tender documents, BOQs, and drawings, and manage client and consultant communications effectively.

Additionally, procurement and commercial management fall under your purview. This involves negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, overseeing material procurement, and ensuring adherence to cost control measures and company policies.

People management is a critical part of this position. You will oversee all departmental operations within the division, coordinate with corporate functions on administrative and financial matters, assess staffing needs, and lead recruitment, training, and performance management initiatives to cultivate a high-performance culture.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Horticulture is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 20 years of experience in landscaping and water features industry, including 10 to 13 years managing large-scale projects in the GCC region.
• A minimum of 5 years in senior leadership roles, preferably as a General Manager.
• Proven expertise in leading multidisciplinary teams and handling techno-commercial aspects of complex projects.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential.
• A valid GCC driving license is mandatory.
• Experience with Oracle ERP systems will be considered an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
