A reputable contracting company in Bahrain is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor specializing in tendering. Key Responsibilities

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a critical role in preparing and managing tender estimates. Responsibilities include:

• Developing accurate cost estimates and bills of quantities to support tender submissions.
• Reviewing contract documents thoroughly to ensure all project specifications and requirements are met.
• Performing detailed cost analysis and engaging in value engineering activities to ensure budget efficiency.
• Collaborating with procurement teams to obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and vendors.
• Assessing subcontractor quotations and negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms.
• Supporting contract administration activities and contributing to risk assessment related to tenders.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant field.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in quantity surveying with a specific focus on tendering processes in the construction sector.
• In-depth knowledge of FIDIC contracts and compliance with Bahrain’s local regulations.
• Proficiency with cost estimation software and strong command of MS Office tools.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure, managing multiple deadlines successfully.
