Job Overview

A well-established construction company in Bahrain is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer specializing in Electrical and Mechanical systems. The role offers a competitive salary range of 800 to 1000 BHD and requires expertise in managing technical designs, project execution, and team leadership within the engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Engineer will play a crucial role in the design and technical execution of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, control systems, and switchgear. You will be responsible for developing detailed schematics and layouts, performing advanced calculations such as load analysis, voltage drop, short circuit, and protection coordination to guarantee system safety and efficiency.

Ensuring all designs comply with local, federal, and industry standards will be essential. You will also draft technical specifications to support procurement, construction, and vendor management processes.

In addition to technical duties, you will provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting professional growth and delivering technical guidance. Acting as the primary electrical liaison, you will coordinate with architects, clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to maintain alignment with project goals.

Managing resources effectively will include preparing cost estimates, monitoring project schedules, and ensuring scope and budgets are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.

On-site responsibilities include performing technical support during construction and commissioning phases, addressing site issues, reviewing contractors’ submittals and RFIs, and overseeing equipment testing including Factory Acceptance Tests, pre-commissioning, and final system handovers. You will also optimize maintenance plans, troubleshoot issues, and implement system upgrades to enhance existing electrical infrastructure.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical and mechanical engineering within construction projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical system design, calculations, and safety code compliance
• Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams effectively
• Excellent project management and coordination skills
• Experience with site supervision, commissioning, and maintenance optimization
• Proficient in preparing technical specifications, cost estimation, and schedule management
