Job Overview
We are looking for a Sales Engineer with 1 to 2 years of experience in product trading within Bahrain. The role offers a competitive salary range of 250 to 300 BHD, including allowances, along with a yearly bonus based on sales performance. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering who have worked with clients in the oil and gas sector, regulatory authorities like EWA, ministries, and various industrial customers.
Key Responsibilities
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for independently preparing and submitting tenders and quotations. This includes managing submissions on the Tender Board and various client online portals. The candidate will also guide and monitor the sales team’s tender activities to ensure compliance and timely delivery.
The role requires prequalification of electrical, mechanical, and automation products with both existing and new clients. Engaging directly with clients and suppliers to understand and facilitate sales requirements, as well as following up on order progress, are essential duties.
Ensuring timely delivery of products, accurate invoicing immediately after delivery, and maintaining comprehensive sales records are critical components of this role. The Sales Engineer must keep an updated sales register that includes enquiries, order books, sales plans, and invoicing logs, providing regular reports to management on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in handling product sales with a strong client base in Bahrain’s oil & gas, government, and industrial sectors.
- Track record of managing annual sales volumes around 1 million Bahraini Dinar.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage tender and quotation submissions.
- Familiarity with Tender Board and client procurement portals.
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining up-to-date sales documentation and reporting.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities to build and maintain client and supplier relationships.
Additional Requirements
A valid Bahrain driving license is advantageous for this position as it may require travel to client sites and suppliers.
