Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a skilled Project Engineer specializing in commercial kitchen equipment and maintenance to join our team in Bahrain. This role focuses on overseeing the full lifecycle of food service equipment projects, ensuring high-quality execution from initial design through installation and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead and manage all phases of project delivery, including preparing technical drawings, layouts, and detailed bills of quantities for kitchen equipment. You will work closely with consultants, architects, and clients to align on design specifications and technical requirements. Coordinating with suppliers and contractors is essential to maintain timely delivery and installation schedules. Additionally, you will monitor budgets and allocate resources effectively while ensuring strict adherence to health, fire, and safety regulations. Conducting site inspections, managing snag lists, and overseeing project documentation will be a regular part of your responsibilities. Providing technical support during tendering and procurement processes and mentoring junior engineering staff are also key duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience working with food service or kitchen equipment projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing technical drawings and layouts.
• Strong skills in project management and site supervision.
• Excellent communication abilities to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders.
• Experience working within the GCC region is necessary.
• Familiarity with international kitchen equipment brands such as Hobart, Rational, and Electrolux.
• PMP certification or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• Previous involvement in hospitality, food and beverage chains, hospitals, or central kitchen projects is preferred.

Compensation

The salary for this position is 1000 BHD.
