Job Overview

We are urgently seeking a skilled Project Engineer specializing in Food Service Equipment and Maintenance to join a reputable company in Bahrain. The successful candidate will spearhead projects involving food service and kitchen equipment installations, ensuring seamless execution from initial design to final handover.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves managing all aspects of project delivery for food service equipment. You will prepare technical drawings, develop equipment Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and collaborate closely with consultants, architects, and clients to confirm design and technical specifications. Coordination with suppliers and contractors is essential to guarantee timely delivery and proper installation.

Regular monitoring of project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation falls under your purview. You will ensure strict adherence to local health, fire, and safety regulations by conducting site inspections and managing snag lists and documentation for project handover. Additionally, you will offer technical assistance throughout tendering and procurement stages and support junior engineers by providing mentorship and guidance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience working on food service and kitchen equipment projects, specifically within the GCC region.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing technical layouts and drawings.
• Strong project management capabilities coupled with effective site supervision skills.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience handling prominent international kitchen equipment brands such as Hobart, Rational, and Electrolux.
• PMP certification or an equivalent project management qualification is considered a plus.
• Background working in hospitality sectors, food & beverage chains, hospitals, or central kitchen projects is highly advantageous.
