Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Site Engineer cum Project Estimator to join our team, specializing in swimming pool construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ hands-on experience in similar roles, with a proven track record in both site management and project cost estimation.

Key Responsibilities

In this dual role, you will handle both site engineering duties and project estimation tasks. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Calculating precise quantities for materials such as concrete, steel, waterproofing products, and excavation volumes to ensure accuracy in project planning.
• Performing detailed cost analysis by pricing materials, labor, and specialized Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) equipment including pumps, filters, and heaters.
• Preparing and submitting competitive and cost-effective bids to secure new projects.
• Monitoring and managing budgets, processing variation orders, and preventing cost overruns throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supervising day-to-day site activities to ensure that excavation, forming, and reinforcement of the pool shell adhere strictly to blueprints and technical specifications.
• Coordinating quality control checks and MEP installations, overseeing critical stages like plumbing pressure testing and filtration plant room setups.
• Ensuring all site safety regulations are enforced, with a particular focus on hazards related to deep excavation, electrical work, and chemical handling.
• Tracking project progress, updating schedules, verifying subcontractor performance, and maintaining detailed daily reports on site conditions and activities.

Required Skills and Experience

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong expertise in site engineering and project estimation within the swimming pool construction industry. Key qualifications include:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in construction project estimation and site supervision.
• Sound knowledge of quantity takeoffs and cost analysis for construction materials and specialized MEP equipment.
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills to manage budgets and project timelines effectively.
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and executing construction plans with attention to detail and compliance.
• Ability to lead site teams, coordinate with subcontractors, and uphold rigorous safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills to provide clear and accurate progress reports and liaise with project stakeholders.
