Job Overview

A well-established construction company in Bahrain is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor / Estimator with extensive experience in civil infrastructure and tender management. This role focuses on preparing precise cost estimates and managing tender processes for key projects involving roads, drainage, and utilities.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and rate analyses for various infrastructure projects. Reviewing tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications to ensure thorough understanding of project needs is essential. Coordination with suppliers and subcontractors to gather competitive quotes and preparing comprehensive technical and commercial proposals within tight tender deadlines will also be required. Close collaboration with project managers, planning, and procurement teams will ensure smooth project execution. Additionally, maintaining an up-to-date cost database covering materials, labor, and equipment is critical for accurate estimating.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in tendering and cost estimation, ideally within the GCC region.
• Strong familiarity with Bahrain Tender Board procedures and government tender requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and industry-standard estimation software.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
