Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Project Planning Engineer to join our dynamic construction team in Bahrain. This role involves developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed project schedules and coordinating with various stakeholders including site teams, engineers, and subcontractors. Key tasks include monitoring progress against timelines and milestones, preparing routine progress reports, identifying potential delays or risks, and recommending effective corrective actions. Additionally, the role requires updating schedules based on real-time site developments, tracking project variations and extensions, and assisting in resource planning and forecasting.

Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, along with proven experience as a Planning Engineer in construction environments. Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project is essential. A solid understanding of construction processes, project controls, and progress monitoring techniques is required. Excellent communication and coordination abilities are crucial for success in this position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar discipline
• Hands-on experience in project planning roles within the construction industry
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project software
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction activities and project control methodologies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Preferably with prior GCC or Bahrain construction experience
• Must be locally available in Bahrain
• Immediate joiners will be given preference
