Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled MEP Construction Engineer to join our dynamic construction team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations across various construction projects, ensuring alignment with approved plans, quality standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

The MEP Construction Engineer will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all on-site MEP activities. This includes managing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems. The role demands thorough review and understanding of MEP drawings, shop drawings, and specifications, along with managing material submissions. Coordination with civil, structural, architectural, and finishing teams is essential to ensure seamless project execution.

Additionally, the engineer will supervise subcontractors, technicians, and site laborers, monitor manpower utilization, materials, and maintain high installation quality. Conducting regular site inspections, resolving technical challenges, and facilitating the testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover processes are part of the daily responsibilities. Comprehensive daily and weekly progress reports need to be prepared while ensuring full compliance with project specifications, health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as Bahraini regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, MEP Engineering, or a related discipline. Proven experience in MEP construction within building projects is essential, with a preference for those having worked on high-rise, commercial, or large villa projects.

The role requires strong knowledge of MEP systems and construction methodologies, along with the ability to interpret complex MEP and shop drawings and technical documents accurately. Experience in supervising subcontractors and site teams is critical, alongside excellent communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.

Experience in Bahrain or broader GCC construction environments is highly regarded. Immediate availability in Bahrain and the ability to start promptly will be favored.
