Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Planning Engineer to join a dynamic team in Bahrain. This role focuses on managing project schedules, monitoring on-site progress, and supporting the seamless delivery of villa and high-rise building projects. Ideal candidates have solid experience in construction planning and scheduling within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Construction Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining project master schedules while ensuring alignment with construction progress. This includes creating detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), monitoring site activities against the baseline schedules, and identifying critical path activities using the Critical Path Method (CPM).

Additional tasks include preparing daily to monthly reports for project management, supporting recovery plans to address delays, and coordinating closely with construction, procurement, and subcontractor teams to keep timelines on track. The role also involves monitoring procurement timelines, tracking productivity, managing progress dashboards and S-curves, and providing essential planning data for extension of time (EOT) claims and delay analysis.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project for planning and scheduling
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, along with good command of MS Word and PowerPoint
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling techniques, Earned Value Management (EVM), and productivity tracking
• Familiarity with FIDIC contract terms
• Ability to interpret and coordinate Architectural, Structural, and MEP drawings
• Effective communication skills in English and Hindi

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, with 3 to 7 years of experience specifically in villa or high-rise building projects. Immediate or short notice availability is preferred to join an expanding construction team in Bahrain.
