Dragon Wok Restaurant W.L.L., a leading Chinese and Asian cuisine establishment in the Kingdom of Bahrain, is seeking a skilled Chinese Chef to join our culinary team. We pride ourselves on delivering authentic Chinese dishes such as wok-fried specialties, noodles, fried rice, seafood, dim sum, and our signature Dragon Momo. Our goal is to offer exceptional food quality, outstanding customer service, and a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing authentic Chinese dishes, focusing on wok cooking techniques, noodles, soups, seafood, and appetizers. You will play a crucial role in developing new menu items and refining existing recipes to keep our offerings fresh and appealing. Ensuring consistent food quality, taste, and presentation is essential, along with maintaining strict kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.

Additional duties include managing kitchen inventory, controlling food costs, training and supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring proper food storage and handling. Close coordination with the restaurant management will be necessary for menu planning and executing special promotions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience as a Chinese Chef within a restaurant or hotel environment, showcasing strong expertise in traditional Chinese cooking techniques and sauces. Experience working with commercial wok stations is required, along with comprehensive knowledge of food safety and hygiene protocols.

Working effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen is vital. Applicants must demonstrate leadership and team management capabilities and have the creativity to craft innovative Chinese and Asian fusion dishes. Experience with dim sum, seafood, and specialty Chinese cuisine will be considered a strong advantage.
