Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and dependable Database Administrator (DBA) to oversee, maintain, and optimize enterprise-level database systems. The successful candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL databases, demonstrating a strong commitment to ensuring data integrity, availability, and outstanding performance in critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

The role requires the installation, configuration, administration, and ongoing maintenance of SQL Server, Oracle, and/or PostgreSQL databases. You will be responsible for monitoring database performance and implementing tuning and optimization strategies to enhance efficiency. Key duties include designing and managing backup, recovery, and replication protocols to safeguard data. You will also ensure high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions are fully operational, conducting failover and recovery testing regularly. Additional responsibilities involve performing timely database patching, upgrades, and migrations with minimal service interruption. Troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues promptly is essential. Collaboration with application development, infrastructure, and security teams will be necessary to align database management with broader organizational needs. Maintaining accurate documentation, operational procedures, and database configurations is also required, alongside supporting compliance and audit processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in database administration
• Proficient with Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL database systems
• Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, and replication techniques
• Experience managing high availability and disaster recovery setups
• Solid grasp of database security protocols, access control, and user management
• Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization tools
• Knowledge of on-premises and cloud-based database environments is advantageous
