Job Overview

We are urgently seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager of the Interiors Division in Bahrain. This role involves managing and overseeing operations across the Interior Design, Fit-Outs, Joinery, Carpentry, Engineering, and Construction departments. The successful candidate will help develop strategic plans, coordinate project activities, and ensure efficient execution of interior projects in line with company goals and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant General Manager will play a vital role in driving project success and operational excellence. Core duties include:

  • Collaborating with the General Manager to devise competitive business strategies and develop the annual budget and plans for interior projects.
  • Managing day-to-day operations of the Interior department’s projects, ensuring smooth workflow across various teams.
  • Handling administrative tasks linked to the General Manager’s office.
  • Initiating projects by securing approvals, mobilizing resources, and preparing site facilities post-contract sign-off.
  • Planning projects for optimal time, cost, and resource management, including submitting schedules for client approval.
  • Overseeing the execution phase to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
  • Monitoring project progress through various stages to ensure deliverables meet requirements.
  • Finalizing projects with client signoff, documenting lessons learned to enhance future project management.
  • Coordinating integration of all sub-projects to meet overall project objectives.
  • Confirming and communicating project scopes to all involved personnel.
  • Conducting procurement management decisions by analyzing the time and cost implications of making vs buying components.
  • Efficiently managing human and material resources throughout project lifecycles.
  • Maintaining transparent communication with key stakeholders regarding project status.
  • Managing changes to project scope, documenting impacts on time and costs.
  • Identifying and recommending best practices to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Reviewing and approving budgets prepared by the tender department.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
  • 15 to 20 years of relevant experience in a similar managerial role within the interiors or construction sector.
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to manage teams effectively.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from 1800 to 2000 BHD, dependent on experience. Additional benefits will be discussed during the hiring process.
